Alright, so I’m planning a “backpacking” excursion over to Europe for my wife and I, and so far everything has been planned out quite well. I’m on the final leg of the journey (Rome, Italy) and have hit a roadblock concerning the flight back to North America.

From what I have found, it is just too expensive for us to fly back to North America from Rome (over $1000 a ticket), and after looking through many different flight searches (Kayak, Martinair, Fly Global Span, Canadian Affair, Thomas Cook, Air Transat, Air India, Icelandair, etc.) I have yet to find a more satisfactory price.

Getting to my question(s) however, I was wondering if anyone was able to locate or point me towards cheap flight tickets leaving from Europe/UK (any city really) to North America (preferably Toronto) around the 9th of August? Any information from people who have traveled before, have an interest in travel, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I’m going to keep looking over the weekend and talk to a travel agent as well, but I would love to hear some tips from you all.

If you are looking for  Cheap Air Tickets be sure to plan a head, at least a month before you travel. The Flight Tickets are generally economical if you buy them at least 21 days prior to your travel date.

Make sure you don’t travel in middle of a festive season such as Christmas or Thanks Giving. There is usually a lot of demand for air travel at such a time. Hence the airfare tends to be expensive.

Try not traveling either at the beginning or end of the week, Business men usually opt to travel at the beginning of the week and holiday makers usually opt to travel at the end of the week. So middle of the week has less demand. Hence less expensive are the airfare.

If you plan to land in a metropolitan area,  where there are more than one airports, try choosing a less known, less congested airport, these smaller less known airports have less taxes to pay and airline which land there pay less and so the airfare too is inexpensive.

If you are planning an international travel, try choosing the national carrier of the destination country, the national carriers of a nation has less taxes to pay, this is passed on to the consumer as discounts, ultimately making the airfare cheap.

Try finding your Cheap Air Tickets for odd times such as late night or early mornings, this flights which operate at odd times have less takers, lesser the demand the lesser the fare.

You see it’s not really a rocket science to know how to make you’re your airfare cheap. Fly Cheap.
